Over the top! View the lava dome from the crater's rim on this summit tour of Mt. St. Helens. A breathtaking journey brings you 360-degree views of the summit, the crater, Spirit Lake, neighboring volcanoes, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Hood.

Depart from our paved helipad and trace the Toutle River Valley, which is buried under more than 150 feet of debris from the eruption. Follow the mudflow from the eruption to pass Elk Rock, Castle Lake, and Coldwater Lake. Soar over Hummocks Fields and the famous "Ghost Forest" where you'll see eerie blown-down trees lined up as if the eruption happened yesterday.

Pass by the north side of the Johnston Ridge Observatory where Mt. St. Helens creates a majestic backdrop to the surreal scenery. Fly over Spirit Lake, half covered with floating logs from the surrounding hills, and begin the ascent to the summit. Descend into the crater itself to view the lava dome right up close. Return through the Toutle River Valley, passing the elk-viewing area before landing back safely at the helipad.

This tour is priced as a standard tour for three to four passengers, which may involve additional parties in the aircraft. Our standard tours are priced at a three-person minimum. Payment
A 7.8% sales tax and a 3.5% credit card surcharge will be added to all orders. You will be asked to provide credit card information upon booking to secure your reservation. Your credit card will only be charged upon arrival. There will be a 50% cancellation fee for no-shows or reservations canceled less than 24 hours before your flight. You will pay the full amount of the reservation at our kiosk on the day of your flight. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. The physical credit card is required to swipe; a 3.99% credit card surcharge will be applied for credit card manual entries if the physical card is not present. We do not accept cash or checks.
